Based around Shorncliffe Pier just downstream of the Queensland Cruising Yacht Club, the Bluewater Festival celebrates Shorncliffe as the home of the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race and seeks to bring together the local community to enjoy the artistic, commercial, historical, environmental and heritage aspects the area has to offer. Over 15,000 people annually visit the festival and enjoy the atmosphere, food, entertainment and fireworks.

Held at Suttons Beach in Redcliffe, this colourful, seaside carnival runs in conjunction with the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race and has over a hundred specialty market and gourmet food stalls, live music & roving entertainers plus heaps of workshops and amusement rides for the kids.

Staged each year in conjunction with the famous blue water classic, the Gladstone Harbour Festival is an action-packed week of activities and events.  An exciting line-up of free entertainment, a street parade, daily kids' entertainment and street entertainers including clowns and magicians as well as giant firework displays all help to make up this popular festival
